Each Participating student will make a project board that conforms to the following criteria.
Please note that all boards are to be designed to meet the minimum criteria already listed in the MCSRC rules section pages 8/9
The display board should include:
Abstract IN UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER ON MCSRC FORMAT
Experimental procedure Conclusion
Problem/Question Data
Hypothesis Analysis of results
Each student will be given their project number by their school sponsor. Then clearly and using a black sharpie they should write on the top corner of their board THIS NUMBER, THEIR DIVISION AND CATEGORY (I recognize there is some redundancy.) Also, they should include THEIR SCHOOL. For some, if a 1C form was required, have that visible on the table in front of the project. Please do not include other items as some may be unsafe. You may also add your number to the Abstract as there is a line on it for that number.
Then, each student needs to take a picture of their board. We recommend them using the landscape setting (i.e. turning their camera sideways). Also, they should check their picture to make sure the entire board is included and it is clear to read. Do not use a google doc. or a power point (which I know some have used at PJAS). Jpg is fine.
And finally, send your picture to the 5 judges (collectively) that will be reviewing the projects. Here are their emails:
philip.rittenhouse@germantownacademy.org
When emailing, in the text of the email they should introduce themselves and repeat their number, division, category and school.
We must receive these photos by 3/18/20 no later than 5pm.
Sponsors, please do this sooner rather than later because if everyone sends their photos the last minute it may create a computer backlog issue.
We will be judging the projects and alerting students who earn 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the A – D divisions so they can prepare to move on to the Del. Valley Fair. As well, the 1st and 2nd place E winners.
Later, we will be sure to send out participation certificates and medals to each school (as we have in the past). Also, we will award the Purvis and Ritter awards as well as Perseverance Awards to seniors.
Again respectfully,
Philip Rittenhouse
